I usually never leave reviews, but I need to thank our community’s manager, Brenda, for going above and beyond addressing my concerns. Whether it comes to enforcing the nonsmoking policy, taking care of billing errors, resolving maintenance requests, and taking steps to address the rampant dumpster diving and abuse that has been happening, she is on it. Thanks for striving daily to make this a nice place to live!

I was very reluctant to move into an apartment but, due to a change in life circumstances, it was necessary to reside in an apartment complex until I could purchase a house, again. With that said, Brenda, our community manager here at The Highlands at Red Hawk, has been an absolute pleasure to work with. She is responsive, kind, and truly, displays a servant's heart. Thank you, Brenda, for all you have done to help ease me into my temporary but, pleasant apartment living experience!

As a resident, I’d recommend living elsewhere. When ownership changed in 2021 the place really began to go downhill. With apartment living neighbors come and go, but the people moving in here lately are questionable, as in leniency in criminal background check questionable. Also, the woman that manages this community consistently avoids phone calls and emails. Management works for residents, not the other way around. This community is a handful of years old but feels much older. The apartments are roomy and nice, but the landscaping leaves much to be desired as there are multiple areas where trees, shrubbery, and grass has been left to die or been left in place/overtaken by weeds. Also no care is taken to reprimand dog owners who neglect to clean up after their dog. Recently a police/SWAT stand-off happened here where a resident holed up in their apartment all day and committed suicide. While unspeakably unfortunate, and obviously not possible to foresee, the event was was so traumatic for us to experience. All day we were on pins and needles waiting for the next gunshot or explosion. For all we knew, the whole block was rigged to explode, that’s what it sounded like. In the wake of this event, all management chose do was email residents a letter devoid of sympathy or empathy. That is all. I hope the poor person who moved into the unit where all of this occurred got full disclosure but somehow I doubt it. My experience as a resident at Highlands at Red Hawk left a lot to be desired. There are other communities in the vicinity where you might really get what you pay for, with professional management who care more about their residents than the bottom line.

I never received my security deposit back, and I probably never will. When I called multiple times they never gave me a response on why. I left the place spotless and damage free. When I scheduled an inspection after I left(my roommate decided to stay), they never actually got around to it. I also requested to be taken off the lease at that point, but later found out I had never actually been taken off the lease until my roommate moved out months later. It was a great place to live, but the new management never got their act together.

A really nice place to live. Large, brand new units with garages. Only around 50 units or so, and feels like community. Great location just off of I-25 as well.

A really nice place to live. Walls are well proofed and you rarely hear the neighbors, close to the interstate, and looks/feels brand new. The only downside is the management changed twice while I was there and they always take a while to adjust.
